Beware of Neck-Up People

Been on the phone a lot over the past two weeks, doing coaching calls with members of my Neg Busters program.

During these calls, I learn a ton about how people create realities they don’t want. I see how people hypnotize themselves into believing things that are absolutely not true.

For example, some people will say things like, “I can’t feel energy” or “I can’t visualize” or “I can’t focus” or “I can’t stop procrastinating.”

None of these statements are true in reality – but because the client believes them to be true, he or she acts as if they are true.

For example, M. said she is so afraid of making a mistake that she “always” double-checks “everything” she does. This trait caused her much grief. She wanted to drop it.

Upon “de-hypnosis,” I helped her realize she doesn’t “always” re-check “everything.” In fact, once completely de-tranced, she said she’s had experiences of going for days at a time without constantly double-checking everything.

I asked if she made any mistakes on those days of “flow.” She said “no.”

Okay, so why you carrying this stupid belief around?

Good news is she isn’t NOW. The belief has been proven false via de-hypnosis and eliminated with Theatre of the Mind. Now she can move from task to task in a state of flow.

Another client, JJ, said he can’t feel energy – ever?

“So you’re a neck-up person?” I ask.

“What’s that?”

“It’s a person who thinks he’s so logical that he can’t feel energy.”

“Oh, I’m definitely that person. Yes.”

I asked if he’s ever had a cup of coffee.

“Of course,” he said.

“Did your energy increase?”

“Yes.”

“But I thought you said you can’t feel energy.”

I then went on asking the following:

Ever feel sick?
Ever feel tired and ready for bed?
Ever feel cold?
Ever have a dentist drill on a tooth without novocaine?
Ever feel humidity?
Ever feel someone’s anger?

I got a “yes” to each of these. Then he says, “But I can’t feel things like you do.”

“Oh, I see,” I said. “You’re breaking cardinal rule number four in Zero Resistance Living.”

“What’s cardinal rule number four?” he asks.

“Keep up with yourself, not the Joneses.”

“Oh, I guess I’m guilty of that one.”

“It’s a big club,” I said. “Don’t beat yourself up too long about it. Key is to stop the unfavorable comparisons to others. Compare and compete only with yourself. If you’re getting better than you were before, that’s what matters most.”

Following JJ’s coaching session, his life changed. He stopped the “I can’t feel anything” self-talk. He started to use his whole body as a brain, not just the one above his neck.

Funny, when some people hear me refer to a person as a “neck up” – they think I’m paying a compliment. They think I’m impressed with the intellect of the person.

To me, being intelligent means you use your mind-body to think. Your brain is only a small part of what you have at your disposal. Yes, your brain plays a huge role – but it’s far from being all there is on the journey of self-realization.

So pinch yourself on the check today. Yes, you can feel.

My Mom’s Hero

This morning Denise Ford posted the following on my Facebook page:

“Dear Matt and Sean,
A thousands hugs… sharing this Hopi poem – which I know you know, to be so:

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight
On the ripened grain.
I am the gentle Autumn’s rain.
When you awaken in the morning hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there.
I did not die.
My Spirit is still alive…

Love, Denise

Thank you, Denise. And now I’d like to share a picture
of my Mom’s favorite hero – (aside from all of her children
and grandchildren – and the Obvious Others).

He has his arm around her in this photo – taken in 2007,
at one of my seminars.

He was my coach at Iowa, Dan Gable.

Thought all of you would like to see this one.

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.

“Birth, Death – same-same”

At 7 a.m. yesterday, as I sat holding my Mom’s hand, I gazed deeply into
her fading eyes as I sent loving energy to her.

Being trained in the internal martial arts, it was only natural for my focus
to be inward as well as outward. The “dan tian” area, located a few inches
below the navel center was one internal focus point. And as I kept this focus
energy streamed through my body, connected to my core and flowed into my
mother’s body via our connected palms.

On two separate occasions Mom looked at me and smiled. Despite her agony,
she still found a way to express the joy she embodied.

Before my eyes I saw how our roles were now reversed. It wasn’t that long ago that
Mom was helping a newborn baby come to life in this world – and stay alive. It
was “only a flicker” ago that I was in the hospital bed with her, and it was my
lips that were shaking. It was I who couldn’t speak. It was I who needed love
more than anything else.

Now I was “Mom” and she was “me.”

And in a strange twist of the cosmos, for the very first time, my arm was an umbilical
chord sending love to my mother’s soul. I felt the energy pulsing so strongly from my
center and through her arm that I realized: “HA. Birth and death – same-same.”

They may not feel the same – but they really are.

There is no “loss” in my Mom’s exit from this earthly plain. Only gain.

As I told my Dad yesterday, “To go out on Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a victory. She’s
singing, ‘Free at last. Free at last. Thank God Almighty I’m Free at Last.”

I thank all of you for your kind emails, text messages and Facebook comments. They mean
a lot to me.

In particular, I cherish the message that read, “I feel honored to have met your Mom.”

Yes, it was an honor to know my Mom. Even more to be raised by her.

Thank you,

Matthew John

Thank You, Mom – R. I. P.

I got up yesterday morning at 10 a.m. Slept in a bit after teaching for two straight days.

Looked in the closet and put on a jersey I only wore once. It was when I attended Super Bowl 43.

I wore it all day – and wondered why.

Then late yesterday afternoon I sent out an email entitled “The Battle for Your Life.” Strange subject line. Wondered why I chose that one.

Three minutes after the email went out my father called. Before I answered I heard a voice say, “Your mother died.”

Huh?

I answered. My dad could barely speak. I kept saying “hello” and then he said, “Mother is in emergency.”

My wife and I, along with my friend, Mark, rushed to my Dad’s home and picked him up.

As soon as my father saw my mother’s condition he called the pastor. I knew the end was near but she survived the night.

At 5:30 am I was awakened by an angel telling me to go NOW to the hospital.

I was greeted by an open-eyed mother, glad to see me. I held her hand until nearly 8 am – then left to pick up my father.

Before leaving I told my Mom I was going to get Dad and bring him to see her.

“Is that okay?” I asked. She shook her head no. Nah, couldn’t be.

On the way to the hospital I told my Dad that Mom was hanging on for him and he needed to give her permission to transition Both of us began to cry. Then we recovered and he nodded and prayed that God could have her now if it was best for her.

When we walked into my Mom’s room we were greeted by the nurse who told us “she just died.”

After our initial reaction, my Dad and I acknowledged that she didn’t want her husband of 63 years to see her last moments. Always the private person. Right to the very end of her physical journey.

This one began on 4/30/1927 – so now you know why I wore number 43 yesterday.

Mom, I’m so thankful that you were my Mother. I love you – and we’ll stay in touch. You’ll be hearing from me – often.

I’ll never forget you and now pass back to you what you would always write and say to me, “I love you – but Jesus loves you more.”

You’re now with Him – then again you always were.

Your son,

Matthew John

ZM Says: “A-Rod is Innocent”

Hello my friend,

The verdict is in. And Alex Rodriguez is guilty. Very, very guilty.

Yet, I contend, A-Rod is innocent.

Innocent of taking performance enhancing drugs (PEDs)?

No.

He’s “innocent” of knowing how to increase his testosterone and along with it, his performance levels, naturally.

Think about it for a moment. There are martial art masters who can do things that defy all logical and rational systems of belief.

For example, Master Liu, my teacher in China, can break bricks with his fingertips, can send you flying with a light touch and can take hard kicks to the nuts.

He’s in his mid-50’s and shows no signs of slowing down. And he’s never taken a steroid in his life. He wouldn’t even consider doing such a thing because he knows how to increase T-levels through the internal power generated through the practice of internal martial arts.

Most in the west don’t believe you can boost testosterone without drugs, so it’s only logical that players who have goals to hit 800 home runs, choose to take it synthetically. They get stronger faster. They recover sooner from their workouts and games. Their bodies heal quicker. And I’m certain they enjoy a strong manhood in the bedroom.

But, once they start using the drugs, their nuts shrink. And unless they know someone who understand the internal game – they cannot get them back. So the only way to keep their T levels up is to continue taking the PEDs.

What may have started as an experiment becomes a dependency. The athlete can’t function without them.

Despite what the commercials on tee-vee tell you, despite all the anti-aging doctors who are HAPPY to inject you with steroids, and will tell you there aren’t any alternatives, especially if you’re in your “middle-years” – you can still raise your testosterone levels naturally, and enjoy the benefits of doing so for the rest of your life.

The only catch is that you’ll need to continue to practice the exercises and techniques that raise it in the first place. Yet, this is hardly illegal. Nor does it qualify as a P.E.D.

Having higher levels of testosterone can be “normal” for you if you train your body in a certain way. There are many exercises that fitness authors will tell you raise your T levels.

But they are totally unaware of the ones that I’m going to be revealing very soon to members of the Matt Furey Inner Circle – aka, Furey Faithful – in a bonus teleseminar.

In fact, if you didn’t already know about it, I might as well tell you now. As a member of this illustrious group of DOERS, you get immediate digital access to a treasure-trove of books, videos, audios, special reports and more – for a tiny fraction of what all of these programs would run you if you got them separately.

Moreover, as I’m continually adding content, you can expect to see much more added to the site during 2014, and none of the additions will cost you a red cent. Your up front fee, which is ridiculously low, entitles you to ALL of it.

So make sure you enroll in the MFIC today so that you are guaranteed access to the tele seminar I’m going to be conducting on raising your T levels naturally.

You can expect sports performance and more to go up with the information you’ll be learning.

Best,

Matt Furey

P.S. You’re literally getting thousands of dollars worth of content for a fraction of the original cost by joining the MFIC right NOW. Let’s get it on so that 2014 is the achievement of a huge milestone reached during your lifetime.

ZM says – “Einstein only half-right”

Hello my friend,

You’ve probably heard the Albert Einstein quote on insanity. If not, here tis:

“Insanity: doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.”

He was right on.

Yet, there’s always more to the story. There’s always a different view or perspective.

Let’s start with my definition of sanity to gain more clarity:

“Sanity: Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a similar result.”

From a Psycho-Cybernetics point of view, the quote above is also correct. Most people fail to look into what they did when they were at their best. They don’t take time to consider what they were thinking, feeling, hearing, seeing and doing.

When you take the time to discover when you were at your best, you tap into a reservoir of invisible powers that help guide you to many more positive experiences.

Here’s another way I like to address the definition of sanity:

“Discovering what works and doing it over and over again so you can obtain similar results that lead to mastery.”

This approach is uncommon as most  people constantly change and do things differently just for the sake of change or to combat boredom.

This is just as insane as continuing to do the same things that don’t work over and over while hoping for an improvement.

Then there’s another detail. Perhaps you’re doing the right things over and over again and the results haven’t appeared yet. Does this mean you’re insane to expect a different result?

No. It means you need to spend more time doing the right things over and over until the results you seek manifest.

No one would say watering and giving sunlight to the apple seed you recently planted was the wrong action because the tree hasn’t appeared with apples on it yet.

The same is true with sanity leading to mastery. You find out what it takes to win from someone who’s achieved the type of results you seek, then you follow what he thought, felt and did.

As you do this, in most undertakings, you’d be insane to expect different results in mere moments.

At the same time, when you add the energetic and mental components to the physical – now that, my friend, can accelerate results so quickly others may think you “insane” when you tell them what happened.

In this case, probably best to “zip the lips.”

Be Still – and Flow,

Matt Furey

P. S. I’m back in Tampa. Arrived at midnight. Had a tremendous trip. More details forthcoming.

ZM says – Ears aren’t just for hearing

Hello my friend,

When it comes to our ears – there’s more to the story than using them for “hearing.”

When your ears are clean and healthy – you feel good. Getting your ears massaged is always accompanied by overall feelings of well being.

Giving yourself a few ear tugs per day helps open your mind to new ideas and information. You might want to do a few right now before watching the latest ZM clip.

This type of ear cleaning is called “pao er duo.” I know someone whose ears were so clogged she could barely hear – but after one 10 minute cleaning, she was like new.

Every time I’m in China I make sure to get a “pao er duo” treatment. Yesterday, however, was the first time I got it done on the street. I wasn’t alone.

Did I feel good afterward? Of course.

That’s why I say ears aren’t just for hearing. They’re for feeling.

Feeling good about yourself. Feeling good about what you’re hearing around you.

Now, even if you never visit China, you can still remove clogs in your ears (and your thinking) by listening to great information.

Yes, you can get into The Flow by listening to my CDs. They’ll naturally clean the subconscious gunk out of your ears in a big, BIG way.

Be Still – and Flow,

Matt Furey

ZM says – Turn back your clock

“When you’re in Flow, when you’re in the Zone – time stops. Time disappears. Time even rewinds itself – or shoots forward. There is a time to use time. And there’s a time to lose yourself in time. When you’re totally in the moment, living fully, completely absorbed and focused – that’s when time in inconsequential. When it’s just you and Infinity – a lot gets accomplished without a shred of tension or stress. Turn back your clock to a moment when all was well in your world. Breathe life into that moment and experience the difference.”
